Good luck Tammy! I know it will work out! By the way, thanks for the words about the shoes... I love the green toenail story!

By the way, I'm linking you to my blog! I thought we were already linked, but apparently not!

Pamela! I'm so excited to hear from you! Actually, I hate change so this is a big step for me. I want to hear all about your new job and I want to catch up with everything else exciting in your life.

Yes, we must meet for coffee when I get a break from packing!!! I'll keep you posted on the house.

I have been thinking about you for weeks, but with unemployment, then a new job, I've been very selfish and only kept up with you by reading your blog. So congrats on YOUR new job, and I'm so VERY EXCITED (that's why I'm using all caps) about the house prospect! I will keep the fingers crossed, and now that things aren't depressing and horrific in my life, maybe I can actually call you and meet you for coffee! I LOVE IT when things move and change! I'm so thrilled for you...

Hope it works out for you - sounds like a good fit!

Here's my two cents (for what it's worth): There is no such thing as the perfect house. They all have one issue or another - trust me, as we have owned five (count 'em, 5) at this point. I have loved them all, and there has been something unnerving about each one, as well. I am finding my present basement a bit damp (and my laundry is down there), but other than that, I love it (especially once we get the addition done, which will solve all my issues - at a price).

(I know you have the damp basement issue, too - how do you handle it? Other than emptying the dehumidifier 4 times a day?)

If it works out, you will be thrilled. If not, you'll find another one. Take my word for it - I have found five. And I'm sure there's another one out there. Somewhere ...
